Apollo is just getting better and better
Welcome to our Apollo newsletter #2
Apollo became a paid service just over a month ago. If you are a current user, thank you! If you are no longer a user, then sorry to hear that Apollo didn't work for you: you will not receive another newsletter from us (unless you actively subscribe to it from our web site or you are a paying user). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us on contact@applicomhq.com.
In this newsletter:
- New features — new overview, stronger time reports, capsule import
- Upcoming features — CSV export of times, reply-by-mail, iCal feeds
- Send us a short testimonial on Apollo!
New features in Apollo
We are pleased to say that tons of new features have appeared in Apollo since we sent the last newsletter. If you followed our blog, you probably know about them. If not... here are the most important ones:
- Capsule's contact import: This was requested by several Capsule users who wanted to switch to Apollo but couldn't afford to spent all that time re-entering their contacts by hand. The good news is that when you import Capsule's contacts, you also get all the notes attached to them. Read about it in our blog post.
- New overview: Our new overview has been welcomed and praised by many of our users, via Twitter and email. We must have done something right! You can now see what everybody you work with has been doing, in a nice "social" feed that makes you want to get more and more done. You can filter by person, and easily jump in adding your own thoughts and keeping an eye on things. Have a look at our blog post about it.
- Time reports across all projects, grouped by user: Well, the name says it all: we are releasing more powerful ways to generate time reports in Apollo. You can now see what's been going on across projects, to make your billing even easier.
There is more: to have a look at what's been happening, see Apollo's changelog — you will see tons of smaller features that made Apollo better and better.
Upcoming features
Here is what you can expect to come in the coming weeks!
- Reply by email: Yes, you will be able to hit "reply" and add a comment to a task or a message. Customers will have no excuse: adding a comment to a task will only require a simple "reply".
- CSV exports of times: It will soon be possible to export logged times in CSV format, ready to be fed to your spreadsheet program for pretty graphing, invoicing, and so on.
- iCal feeds: People really want to be able to access their calendars in their existing systems — Outlook, Google Calendar, iPhone, Android... well, the iCal feelds will make this possible. We are busy coding it right now.
There is obviously much more to come, but this is what you can expect in the shorter term.
