How much does Apollo cost?
It depends on what plan you're on. We offer several plans, each with different limits. Have a look at our plans page -- we hope you find the plan that suits your needs!
What is a billing cycle?
A billing cycle is a period of 30 days (for monthly plans) or 360 days (for yearly plans).
This means that if you start your free trial on the 15th of September, your billing cycle for your free trial will end on the 14th of October.
When will I be charged?
You are officially charged at the end of your billing cycle. That could be the first day after the end of your free trial, or the first day after the end of your previously paid 30 days (for monthly plans) or 360 days (for yearly plans). Note that you will receive an email 5 days before the end of your free trial, giving you plenty of time to cancel if you wish to do so.
What happes if my payment details are not on file or my payment fails?
If your workspace is still active at the end of the billing cycle, on the following day you will be charged for your monthly fee according to your plan. This will be considered an advanced payment for the next 30 days (for monthly plans) or 360 days (for yearly plans).
If your billing details are not on file (they are not mandatory for the free trial), your workspace is disabled immediately. To access your workspace again, you will need to login onto our account page and add your billing details. Please note that even though you will legally owe us the monthly fee, we will not enforce the payment if your billing details are not on file.
If your billing details are on file, we will try to charge you for the right monthly payment (according to your plan) for 30 days. Please note that there is still a grace period of 7 days where you can access your workspace. Please note that even though you will legaly owe us the monthly fee, we will not enforce the payment after those 30 days.
I forgot to cancel my workspace, or I cancelled it too late. Can you refund the month?
Sorry, we are unable to issue refunds. We need to treat every customer the same, to keep it fair on us and on all of our users who pay for Apollo monthly.
How come some users get a 30% discount?
We released Apollo as an invite-only piece of software in July 2010. Since then, we have been handing invites out to people eager to try it and test it. A lot of them spent time actively promoting Apollo, and sending us detailed bug reports and requests.
When Apollo stopped being invite-only, and went "paid", we offered those early adopters a 30% lifetime discount on their workspaces.
Unfortunately, this discount is only available to those early adopters who went through the trouble of asking an invite and used Apollo when it was still in beta.
Do you offer discounts?
We offer 20% discounts to non-profit, charity organisations. The process is very simple: create your workspace; then, contact us and give us some background information on your organisation including: 1) Web address 2) What you do 3) Full address 4) Phone number 5) (If available) External references and third party information about you. 6) A brief statement on how you use Apollo/how you intend to use Apollo in your organisation.
We will pass your email on to a third party, who will evaluate your application and will approve it or reject it. Sometimes, we might ask for more information, although incomplete information will likely result in an unsuccessful application.
Please keep in mind that we are unable to engage in discussions on how the application is evaluated, or why it was rejected or accepted.
How can I pay for my plans?
The easiest way to pay for Apollo is by credit card, monthly. Just enter your billing information by clicking on "Manage billing information" under Settings > My Plan.
You can also pay Apollo yearly! You will pay 10 months for 12 months of use. If you pay yearly, you have the option of paying by Paypal or by bank wire (they both incur a 4% administration fee). Email us with your workspace name and the plan you'd like to pay for, and how you'd like to pay for it.
Is it safe to enter my billing information into Apollo? I can't see https:// in front of the URL!
Yes, it's 100% sure to enter your credit card details into Apollo, since communication of sensitive information is encrypted!
So, we don't have direct access to your full credit card information, and all of the sensitive information is sent encrypted to the merchant and it's stored encrypted by them!
